CQ PRISON
BLUES
(Words
and music; Colin Reece)
Written after my first solo venture abroad after the split of the Bully Wee
Band in 1983.
I found myself playing nightly to drunk Norwegians in Jeppes Pizzaria in the
basement
of the Christian Quart Hotel, Kristiansand in the south of Norway.
I did actually grow to quite enjoy it.
A small sound-clip From the album Red Wing by Colin Reece
No-one noticed, no-one saw him
No-one cheered, or even ignored him
Pretty waiter, big baked potato
I'm not here so see you later
Chorus
And it was not so much a prison sentence
More like "Don't leave town
We might be needing you for questions,
Just don't leave our sight tonight".
He played easy, he played slowly
He played sleazy, he played holy
Mole in Holer, Rock and Roller
Bright and breezy, now burn your soul
Chorus
You were wishing you're a mover
Eurovision, Euro-loser
Where's your Visa? Over here sir!
Cook a dish of cheesy Pizza.
Chorus
No-one noticed, No-one saw him
No-one cheered or even ignored him
Mole in Holer you Rock and Roller
I'm not here now go and burn your soul.
Chorus
